UNIFORMS
As you may have noticed on this page or our Guard Shop page, there are uniforms that are required to work for BPM. Required uniform includes:
- Bluegrass Pool Management T-Shirt
- Bluegrass Pool Management Navy Lifeguard Suit
- Lifeguard Hip Pack w/ rescue mask
- Whistle
All of these items can be found and purchased should be purchased while at your interview for 2024 season so please bring appropriate payment methods with you. If you're unable to purchase in-person, uniforms may also be purchased here on our site. Additionally, staff much choose to purchase additional BPM items such as Long Sleeve T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Baseball hats, Bucket Hats and rain jackets. Items may be purchased as a package, or separately. ANY UNIFORMS PURCHASED ON OUR WEBSITE WILL BE PROVIDED TO STAFF AT THEIR FACILITY TRAINING.
Any Non-BPM issued gear is strictly prohibited from being warn while on duty. Uniforms are in place and particularly important for our staff for a couple of reasons -
1. This makes our lifeguards easily noticeable to facility patrons in the event of an emergency.
2. It eliminates any potentially offensive or off-putting clothing being worn by any of our staff.
FACILITY TRAINING
While lifeguard training may be taken care of by an outside organization, facility training is taken care of by BPM upper management. Facility training is MANDATORY and essential in giving our staff the information and skills to effectively manage their individual facilities.
